In desperation she reached out from the treachery all around her to the only one she trusted even though he was her kingdom’s enemy. Seeking out and petitioning the brave Captain for aid to help her suffering people, she hoped he would believe her heart to be true enough to rally his army to her cause.
Trusting his instincts that she was no spy, he could feel that she too pledged her allegiance first to the good and the righteous.
Both loyal to their people yet secretly conspiring with the enemy for one common goal, their hopes rested upon the flight of a winged messenger along with their secret love for each other which they could not reveal to the other. Even though they never laid a hand on each other, their hidden rendezvous only brought them closer to their higher purpose, but also in their hearts.
Were his warnings of caution enough to protect her from the eminent danger inside her own castle walls? And would her information be sufficient in concealing him from the spies within his own ranks? It was risks the Lady and her Captain were willing to take, to test fate and root out evil for the good of all.
Despite others’ influence and treachery, Soul Mates trust nothing more than the connection and love they feel in their hearts for each other. It is so strong that even in the darkest of times, they can find each other on opposing sides only to come together for a higher purpose of fighting darkness abroad so that goodness can prevail.
